By using Oldy’s website, mobile apps, or any service channels to request quotes, schedule pickups, or complete sales, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) as an electronic contract under the Information Technology Act, 2000, which validates click‑wrap agreements like this one. If you do not agree to all provisions, please do not access or use our services.
2. Definitions
- “Oldy”, “we”, or “us” refers to Oldy, operating at www.oldy.co.in.
- “Customer”, “you”, or “Seller” means the individual or entity requesting a quote or selling electronics to Oldy.
- “Electronic Items” include window and split air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, inverters, batteries, and similar home appliances that you sell, which Oldy may repair and resell or dismantle for spare parts.
- “Quote” means the indicative or final price offered by Oldy for specified Electronic Items, based on condition and market rates.
- “Services” encompass quote generation, pickup scheduling, inspection, payment processing, repair, resale, and parts recovery.
3. Eligibility
You represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract; and
- You are the lawful owner of the Electronic Items and have full authority to sell them to Oldy, free from liens, encumbrances, or third‑party claims.
- Oldy reserves the right to refuse service if these conditions are not met.
4. Our Services
Oldy provides an online platform to:
- Buy Used Electronics: We purchase your old air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, inverters, and batteries for repair or parts recovery.
- Repair & Resell: Working or repairable units are refurbished and resold through our channels; non‑repairable units are dismantled, and functional components are sold as spare parts.
- Logistics Coordination: We arrange doorstep pickup and delivery via third‑party logistics and repair partners under confidentiality terms.
5. Quote Process
- Request: Submit basic details—item type, model, age, condition—via our website or app.
- Indicative Quote: Receive an instant, non‑binding quote based on live market data and condition grading; valid for 48 hours unless otherwise specified.
- Acceptance: Confirm the quote by scheduling a pickup slot.
6. Pickup & Inspection
On the scheduled date and time, our uniformed agent will:
- Arrive at the pickup location with necessary tools and documentation.
- Inspect Electronic Items to verify condition; material discrepancies may adjust the Quote proportionally and transparently.
- Obtain your signature as electronic proof of pickup and acceptance of final terms.
7. Purchase, Repair & Resale
Upon inspection:
- If You Accept: You accept our final on‑site offer. Oldy completes the purchase and pays you instantly (Section 8).
- Repair & Resale: We refurbish working units and list them for resale on our platforms.
- Parts Recovery: Units deemed beyond economical repair are dismantled; salvageable components are sold as spare parts.
8. Pricing & Payment
- Final Price: Based on item condition, repairability, scrap values, and market rates.
- Instant Payment: Upon your acceptance, payment is made immediately via your chosen method (bank transfer, UPI, or cash) in accordance with Consumer Protection (E‑Commerce) Rules, 2020, which mandate timely settlement of payments.
- Adjustments: Oldy reserves the right to adjust the Quote if actual condition materially differs, with full explanation before payment.
9. Customer Obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate item details, including photos and condition descriptions.
- Grant safe, legal access to our pickup agents.
- Erase all personal data from devices; Oldy is not liable for data remnants.
- Package loose components securely; failure may delay service or incur liability for damages.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, logos, and trademarks on our platform are owned by Oldy or its licensors. You may not reproduce or use them without prior written permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oldy’s total liability arising from or related to these Terms shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the relevant Electronic Items. We disclaim liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or profit.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Oldy harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misrepresentation of item ownership or condition, or violation of applicable laws.
13. Force Majeure
